England coach passes on advice to Nottingham businesses
The England rugby union coach Mike Catt passed on advice to Nottingham businesses at a networking event held by Yorkshire Bank in the city.
The World Cup winner and former British and Irish Lion was invited in his role as an ambassador for Yorkshire Bank to meet with local businesses and members of the professional community.
Jo Belton, private banking relationship manager at Yorkshire Bank in Nottingham, said Mike stressed the importance of team work on the sporting field and in business.
Jo said: “Mike spoke about the importance of focus whether you are competing in a rugby international or formulating business strategies. There were many parallels between sport and business to which everyone could relate.
“He also discussed the significance of team work and relying on colleagues for everyone to do their job to their maximum. He also focussed on the importance of providing training and development opportunities to improve peoples’ skills.
“Mike is a fantastic ambassador for rugby and Yorkshire Bank. He has been on two Lions tours so his experiences were fascinating considering the fixtures get underway next month.”
