LDD Group makes six-figure Compubyte acquisition
IT reseller LDD Group has acquired Bradford-based Compubyte Systems for a six-figure sum.
Compubyte was founded in 1999 by husband and wife team, Bill and Elaine Young, and specialises in IT systems installation, maintenance and equipment leasing in primary schools across West Yorkshire and Lancashire.
The acquisition of Compubyte will allow Leeds-based LDD to add to its existing portfolio of services for the education sector.
Compubyte will be incorporated into the LDD Group under the leadership of group sales director, Mandi Iles, and all existing employees will be retained.
Compubyte’s business model fits with LDD’s focus on providing excellent customer service, according to Iles: “Compubyte is an established company with a fantastic customer service reputation. The company’s expertise in the education sector will enhance our service delivery to schools and colleges and support us in achieving growth in that sector.”
The acquisition comes hot on the heels of the formation of LDD’s new telco division and a number of contract wins in the education and public sector.
