Top North East Hotel Holds Recruitment Day

JOB hunters looking to work at a leading North East hotel are to be fast tracked through the interview process at a recruitment event.

Wynyard Hall country house hotel, in the Tees Valley, is hoping to fill vacancies in a number of departments and is holding a recruitment day with a difference on Tuesday May 28 – applicants can turn up without an appointment and get an interview there and then.

Not only will they be given details about the full and part time vacancies – which include laundry assistant, day and night porter, receptionist and housekeeper - but they will be interviewed by the person with the authority to hire them, should they fit the bill.

“There are vacancies at all levels and in a variety of departments”, - said general manager Adam Dyke. “This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining us to find out what we’re looking for and potentially land themselves a job.”

Among the jobs on offer at the four star hotel are chef de partie and sous chef in the three AA rosette Wellington Restaurant; food and beverage assistants, supervisors and managers; maintenance positions and the role of host in the hotel’s lakeside spa set within its grounds.

“The hotel is going from strength to strength and we will be developing and expanding in line with demand,” said Adam.

“We have an incredibly busy summer planned with 85 weddings taking place between June and September along with business meetings and private celebrations and this event will be the first stage of a rolling recruitment programme over the coming months.

“The region faces a lot of economic challenges at the moment but we know how skilled and friendly its workforce is and we are delighted to be able to offer people opportunity to work at Wynyard Hall.”

The recruitment day will take place between 4pm and 9pm and applicants are asked to bring a copy of their CV and photo identifications such as a passport or driving license.
