Danbro to renovate new HQ in Lytham
Accountancy firm Danbro has won approval to go ahead with plans to convert the former Land Registry building in Lytham, Lancashire, into its new headquarters.
The business, which specialises in accountancy and payroll services, acquired the 77,400 sq ft building, Jubilee House, last year.
Planners gave the green light on Monday to allow for the creation of 60,000 sq ft of office space along with 20 high-spec apartments.
Danbro will also modernise the outside of the 1960s building across during an 18 to 24 month work schedule, which will commence in September.
Damian Broughton, managing director of Danbro, said the relocation to Lytham will allow the firm to plan for growth and bring all three of its current offices under one roof.
Mr Broughton commented: “Jubilee House is an iconic building that offers fantastic potential to Danbro. Located on a fine stretch of Fylde coast, the vast premises will provide the firm with the space we require as we continue to grow.
“Our investment will breathe new life into the building. By diversifying its use and creating both office and residential space, the project has broader potential to turbo-charge the regeneration of Lytham and create jobs in the local area.”
The company employs 130 people at Whitehills Business Park in Blackpool and its London office, which opened last year.
When the Jubilee House project is completed, Danbro will have 40,000 sq ft of office space available for rent.
Mr Broughton added: “Danbro is extremely passionate about doing business in Lancashire. Given the excellent location, high-quality office space and ample parking offered at Jubilee House, we are confident we can attract some fantastic businesses to join us in our new premises.
“I am thrilled to have received go-ahead for our plans and cannot wait to see work get underway.”
