Azzure IT polls high with Labour Party contract
The Labour Party has chosen Sheffield-based Azzure IT as its implementation partner in switching ERP software to Microsoft Dynamics NAV finance system, seeking significant long-term efficiency gains and cost savings.
A modern solution was needed to meet the needs of a national political party and to replace an aging system, which was proving both inefficient and expensive to run.
During a thorough selection process, Labour was recommended Azzure IT and struck a deal that sees the new finance system go live this month.
Dynamics NAV records all the financial information of the National Labour Party, controls costs through the purchase order system and delivers real time reporting to the senior management team, the executive board and the National Executive Committee.
Cost savings and improved efficiency are the key benefits expected from the new 50 user system, which is accessible at all offices across the UK, including its HQs in London and Newcastle and 11 other regional and national offices.
A Labour Party spokesman said of the Azzure deal: “When we met Azzure, we were impressed straight away. We’d seen what the Dynamics NAV system could do but the presentation from Azzure was a vast improvement on what we’d seen from other suppliers. We were confident this was an organisation that could deliver the system for us.”
