Haribo strikes gold with award win
Pontefract-based Haribo, the UK’s number one gums and jellies brand, is celebrating after achieving its eighth consecutive gold RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award, resulting in the greater accolade of the Gold Medal Award.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents awards are used to monitor and commend companies taking an active interest and long term view into the improvement of work place health and safety.
Graded at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels, only those organisations maintaining high standards are able to achieve further accolades, such as the Gold Medal Award.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition.
“Haribo has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”
Haribo HSE manager, David Lambeth said: “At Haribo we work hard to implement continuous improvements in all that we do, demonstrated by the RoSPA Gold Medal Award.
“We are really proud of our continued success in this area and would like to thank our team for their continued support in helping us maintain and exceed these high standards.”
