Point Engineering Group expands services into electrical contracting
Expanding Point Engineering Group in Hull has announced the adding of an Electrical Division to its established list of engineering services, following its approval by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
The new division, launched this week, operates from the Lee Smith Street head office in Hull to provide electrical installation and contracting for industrial and marine clients.
The group already employs mechanically-biased engineers with electrical qualifications, however this move raises the level of that service, supported by its accreditation as a NICEIC business.
With existing fabrication contracts in the modular building industry, this additional service presents further opportunities for growth in both this and the other markets served by the company.
Steve Norton, director at Point, said “We’ve seen an increase in demand for us to provide a full turnkey service which, until now, has been mainly mechanically based.
“Now we can truly say we have all the engineering services our clients need from under one roof with the Point brand to the fore.”
