Raw Talent Academy celebrate Award & continue Expansion

Raw Talent Academy, a Recruitment and Training provider founded by Apprentice Winner Lee McQueen, were celebrating last week after winning the Oxfordshire LEP New Business of the Year Award at the Oxfordshire Business Awards.

The Awards, in their 19th year, included a message from local MP & Prime Minister David Cameron with over 500 guests attending the awards evening where 15 accolades were up for grabs. On the night our Director Lee McQueen collected the award alongside our Sales Manager Nick Harrowell and Marketing Consultant Ash Holmes.

Lee McQueen, who founded the company after working for Lord Sugar for two years, spoke of the journey from Apprentice Winner to business owner saying; “What a great way to end the week! I am so proud of the team to have been recognised tonight.

“When I launched Raw Talent Academy a couple of years ago it was just an idea, now the business is an award winner! I took a risk in leaving Amscreen, especially during a recession but this goes to show that hard work pays off.”

The award coincided with Raw Talent Academy continuing its impressive growth as two new members of staff joined the team, with Lee adding “I am delighted to welcome the latest members of the RTA team, they can now say they have joined an award winning business but we have no plans to stop there. We have ambitious growth plans and I hope to be back at these awards next year celebrating again.

“I also want to quickly thank the organisers and Oxfordshire LEP who sponsored our award for creating such an important event in the Oxfordshire Business calendar.”
