Yorkshire House launched after £3m refurburbishment
The new-look Yorkshire House, one of the most iconic office buildings in central Leeds, has been officially launched.
Apia Regional Office Fund, asset-managed by Warner Estate Property, have spent £3m on modernising the 80,000 sq ft building and creating some of the finest Grade A office space in Leeds in the biggest refurbishment project in Leeds this year.
Yorkshire House, which dominates Greek Street and East Parade in the heart of the professional and financial core of the city, is now available for occupiers to lease.
Offices suites are available from 1,500 sq ft to 18,000 sq ft with rents from £21 per sq ft. One suite on the fifth floor features a private terrace with stunning panoramic views across the Leeds skyline.
The main tenants of Yorkshire House are leading Leeds law firm Lupton Fawcett.
David Bowden, property partner with Lupton Fawcett, commented: “We now find ourselves in office accommodation which fully provides the exceptional offices which we, as a 21st century law firm, would wish to provide for our clients and staff.
“The journey has taken us from accommodation which, in some areas, would have fitted in well with a 1950s public school to the fully-refurbished and elegant Yorkshire House, with newly-decorated stairwells stunning newly-configured entrances to the building on both East Parade and Greek Street giving a whole new aspect to the building and the impression it gives to visitors.:
He added: “Yorkshire House is now everything it always had the potential to be with - smart, modern and impressive. All this comes with the massive bonus of being right in the centre of the Leeds business district, which appeals to both staff and clients.”
