Barnsley digital company branches out into Europe
A digital company based in Barnsley has branched out into Europe with a social media campaign that has attracted thousands of followers.
Bigfoot Digital, based at Barnsley’s Digital Media Centre, was awarded a high profile social media campaign by Munchkin, one of Europe’s leading baby brands, using platforms including Facebook and Twitter to reach out to its target audience in France.
Within two months the Facebook following had swelled from zero to 10,000 and is on course to exceed the client’s targets.
This expansion has led to two new, multi-lingual members of staff being employed in the Barnsley head office and further recruitment is in the pipeline.
Lindsey Watson, head of social media at Bigfoot Digital, said: “We now manage social media campaigns on behalf of a wide variety of clients in a variety of sectors including pet care, baby goods, pregnancy and e-books.
“We were delighted that Munchkin awarded us the contract for social media in France, having built their UK social profile to over 110,000 followers on Facebook alone.
“There is further scope for expansion into other European countries and we are looking forward to moving forward with Munchkin as they seek to increase brand awareness and market penetration in new international markets.”
Bigfoot Digital now manages social profiles for clients with a combined following of over 350,000 people.
