Bond Dickinson reappointed to Crown Estate portfolio

Bond Dickinson, who operate offices in the North East, have secured one of two places on The Crown Estate’s legal panel for its Energy and Infrastructureportfolio.

The successful firms recently emerged from a competitive tender process which aimed to consolidated legal advice across an extremely diverse portfolio.

Based in London, The Crown Estate is a diverse property business valued at £8.1 billion. The property managed by the company is owned by the Crown but is not the private property of the monarch.

Bond Dickinson will concentrate on advising The Crown Estate on its successful marine aggregates business as well as on its interests in transmission and pipelines. The firm also sat on the previous Energy and Infrastructure panel.

The Crown Estate’s Legal Director, Vivienne King, said: “The Energy and Infrastructure portfolio is one of the most diverse and exciting parts of our business making for an extremely competitive tender process. Having worked with both Norton Rose Fulbright and Bond Dickinson before, we know that they share our values and understand our ambitions for a portfolio which is at the forefront of the offshore low carbon industry.”

Nick Page, Bond Dickinson’s Chairman and Relationship Partner for The Crown Estate said: “We are delighted to have been reappointed to the Energy and Infrastructure Panel. We have a longstanding relationship with The Crown Estate and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship by making a contribution in key areas of The Crown Estate’s business.”

Norton Rose Fulbright was the other firm appointed to the panel and will concentrate on advising in other areas including offshore wind, carbon capture and storage, wave and tidal energy.
