Yorkshire home technology business wins international recognition

Leeds-based Finite Solutions has won two major international awards in recognition of its outstanding work in home technology solutions.

The business secured the top accolades for ‘Best Showroom’ and ‘Best Home Cinema Under £40,000’ at the CEDIA 2013 awards event.

It was also shortlisted for two further projects in the ‘Best Cinema Room over £100,000’ category.

The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) is a worldwide governing body for companies involved in the design and installation of electronic systems for the home.

This year’s eighth annual awards, held at the iconic Tower of London, received over 160 remarkable submissions from 15 different countries competing for the top media room, home cinema, integrated home, superyacht and other category prizes.

Gary Lewis, chairman of CEDIA, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the outstanding quality in this record-breaking year for entries.

“The creativity of the participating companies has shown what is possible to achieve in the current expanding industry.”

‘Best Showroom’ was awarded to Finite’s stunning demonstration house in Leeds. Finite converted the derelict Victorian property to showcase the very latest in full house technology integration including home cinema, multi-media, whole house control and security.

‘Best Home Cinema Under £40,000’ was awarded to Finite for a project completed in Cheshire to convert a double garage/junk room into a state of the art home cinema and music room.

Finite was commended for its inspired approach and exceptional service delivered within the client’s modest budget.

Finite Solutions was established in 2002 by three former Leeds University students.
