Bottle Green enters exclusive Nuba Cocktails partnership
Leeds-based wine distributor Bottle Green has entered into its first strategic partnership with an alcoholic non-wine brand as it continues to implement its controlled growth strategy within the on-trade.
Bottle Green will now exclusively distribute ready-to-drink, pre-mixed bottled cocktail brand Nuba Cocktails, throughout the UK and Ireland.
Developed in conjunction with expert ‘mixologists’, the award-winning cocktails are available in Mai Tai, Cosmopolitan and Mojito flavours.
Commenting on the partnership with Nuba Cocktails, Bottle Green’s operations and marketing director, Richard Hitchcock, said: “As well as continuing to expand within our established markets, our business strategy includes seeking out innovative drinks brands with high growth potential.
“Pre-mixed cocktails are at the forefront of an upsurge in the ready-to-drink spirits sector.
“The market is predicted to grow tenfold over the next five years to be worth £500m, if the current level of demand continues.
“Nuba Cocktails is ideally placed to benefit from this trend as it is a high quality product and one which we believe will provide the on-trade and independents with immediate and ongoing commercial benefits.”
Nuba Cocktails is owned by Leeds-based Euphoria Cocktails. The company was established in 2011 by entrepreneur Vicky Novis, who left her job as an accountant at KPMG after spotting a gap in the market for creating quality, authentic tasting ready-to-drink cocktails.
