Staffvetting.com secure five-figure investment

Newcastle-based employee background check specialists, staffvetting.com, have secured a five-figure investment from Finance for Business North East Angel Fund.

The online firm specialise in background checks for employees, temporary or contracted staff and criminal records, career history and validating qualification claims.

The investment was managed by Rivers Capital Partners Ltd and will be used to upgrade technology and staff training.

Natalia Blagburn, who headed the investment at Rivers Capital Partners, said: “staffvetting.com captures the qualities we look for in business; a focus on personal elements, great potential for growth and a deep urge to continually improve itself.

“The fact it shares these characteristics with many other locally grown companies explains why we have found so many fantastic candidates for investment in the North East.”

Staffvetting was formed by managing director Stephen Brown, who separated it from another company he was heading up.

Stephen added: “Rivers Capital were professional throughout the entire process and their backgrounds as entrepreneurs themselves allowed them to relate to my ambitions. The guidance and resources they offered are what has made the expansion of staffvetting.com possible.”
