New fashion store at Pyramids bringing 30 jobs to Wirral
H & M Hennes will extend their presence in the North West with their first store in Birkenhead.
The new store will create 30 new jobs when it opens at The Pyramids Shopping Centre in October, a mix of full and part-time opportunities.
To create the new store, three shops at one of the main entrances to the outdoor area of the shopping centre, next door to Miss Selfridge and opposite Thomson travel agents, were incorporated into one unit.
With a sales area of more than 15,000 sq ft across two floors, it will offer clothing and accessories for men, women, teenagers and children.
H & M has taken the new store on a 15 year lease subject to a tenants break in the 7th year.
Derek Millar, commercial director for The Pyramids, said: “We have been working hard behind the scenes to attract big names to The Grange and Pyramids to ensure we continue to improve the shopping experience for the 14 million visitors we welcome every year. “We will be adding H&M to an existing range of great high street fashion names such as M&S, Next, River Island, Clarks, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge. “H&M is well known for offering the very latest fashions at top quality for good value prices and I think it is going to be a great draw for the shopping centre which can only benefit our existing retailers.” The Swedish-based fashion chain has 236 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
