Multi-million pound recruiters eye Leeds for expansion

A blue-collar recruitment company has launched in Leeds as it expands around the UK.

Encore Personnel’s Leeds branch is its 18th location and is based in Pudsey on the outskirts of the city centre.

The business, which has a team of four in Leeds, will provide the West Yorkshire region with temporary and permanent staff for factories and warehouses.

Jenny Boguslawski will be heading up the new branch, bringing with her almost a decade of experience in the sector, specialising in recruitment for industrial, driving and logistics companies.

Encore is in the middle of a five-year expansion with plans to open more branches over the next 12 months. The business is reportedly on course to increase turnover to £35 million, rising by a third compared with a year ago, and places around 2000 staff in vacancies around the UK every week.

Managing director of Encore, Greg Latham, said: “We’re really excited to be expanding into Leeds with our 18th profit centre. This new office will be one of many additional openings in the next few months as we gear up to deliver an ambitious growth plan from our 5 year strategy. Revenue growth in 2013 has been ahead of expectation and gives us the confidence to accelerate our expansion plans.”

Encore’s other branches include Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry and Nottingham.
