Leading regional technology expert joins Aspire team

ONE OF THE REGION’S MOST RESPECTED TECHNOLOGY experts has taken on a new challenge.

Steve Laverick, 44, has joined the senior management team at Gateshead-based Aspire Technology Solutions as Technology Solutions Manager after working in the IT industry for 26 years.

Steve previously worked for Croft Technology and TSG. He started work at Croft as an electronics engineer and progressed to become a field-based engineer working in hardware installation and repair.

After gaining field-based experience, Steve then moved into the Technical Services department at Croft where he was responsible for design and implementation of client solutions following his promotion to Technical Services Manager.

He became part of the TSG team when the company acquired Croft Technology four years ago. There he rose to the position of Technical Services Director for TSG Enterprise Solution, leading a team of 50.

He has worked with many high-profile companies during his career such as Barbour, Jewson, Newcastle Airport and even the Royal Household.

Steve, who lives in Hebburn with his partner and two children Bryce, 19 and Erin 17, said he is delighted to have joined Aspire: “I’ve been really impressed by their attention to customer satisfaction and their ambition. The company wants to be the number one technology company in the region and I want to be part of that.

Aspire Technology Solutions is an award-winning managed services company specialising in hosted services, data centre solutions, communications and traditional IT outsourcing. Established in 2006, it has increased its turnover by 195 per cent in the last three years and is on track to achieve its target of turnover of £11m in the next two years.
