PwC graduate recruits join Manchester office

Accountancy and business services firm PwC has welcomed 35 graduate trainees to its Manchester office this week.

Competition for places was exceptionally fierce this year, 1954 applications received for the 123 places across the firm’s northern offices.

As well as graduates, 10 school leavers joined PwC’s Manchester office on the firm’s Higher Apprenticeships programme.

Iwan Griffiths, PwC’s north west chairman, said: “We are very proud of our graduate scheme and continually develop and invest in it so it remains market leading. This will ensure we attract and retain the best graduates who will, in the future, help our clients grow and achieve their objectives.

“Our Higher Apprenticeship scheme, which has doubled the number of recruits this year in Manchester, has also enabled us to attract talent from a wider pool than ever before.”

The graduates will be working across the firm’s tax, assurance, consulting, actuarial and advisory practices.
