New Bradford-London service boosts business travellers
From December 2013, business travellers in Yorkshire will benefit from an additional direct connection to London, thanks to the launch of Grand Central Rail’s fourth West Riding service.
Starting on Monday 9 December, passengers travelling between Bradford Interchange and London King’s Cross will have access to a new direct daily service at 07:52 southbound and 16:03 northbound, giving business travellers increased accessibility to the capital and leisure passengers the flexibility of day trip travel.
Sean English, general manager at Grand Central, said: “We are excited to launch our fourth daily direct service on the West Riding route, which means we can offer more accessible travel for the people of Yorkshire.
“We launched an additional service on our North East route last year, which proved to be extremely popular with business travellers and leisure passengers alike and we hope to replicate this success on the West Riding route.
“Grand Central provides many communities in Yorkshire with their only direct service to the capital, connecting customers with wonderful destinations, attractions and many hidden gems.
“In addition, the new northbound service will provide greater access to our region for tourists and travellers from the south. I hope that customers will take advantage of this great new service and we look forward to welcoming them on board from December.”
