New wave of recruits join Grant Thornton’s Yorkshire training programmes

Thirteen young people have joined the growing Yorkshire offices of business and financial adviser Grant Thornton as the latest annual intake to embark on the firm’s renowned training programmes.

This year’s intake includes two interns embarking on a 12-month training contract, a school leaver on an extended training programme and two former interns who have gone on to join as trainees.

The firm’s commitment to its trainees and the quality of its induction strategy has been recognised with various awards including the best Graduate Campaign at the RAD Awards and it was also recognised in the SoMe Graduate Recruitment Awards.

This month, Grant Thornton was named one of the top 50 most attractive global business employers and ‘distinguished as an ideal employer in the professional services sector’ in a survey of more than 200,000 business and engineering students from 12 of the world’s largest economies.

Will Oxley, practice leader at Grant Thornton in Leeds, said: “Building a team of the most talented and committed professionals is at the core of our business and this starts with attracting and developing the brightest and most enthusiastic young people as they set out on their career and helping them to unlock their potential for growth at work.

“Our innovative development programmes are continuing to lead the way in the professional services sector, supporting our ambitious growth plans and enabling us to ensure that we have the best new talent rising through the ranks.”
