Japanese partnership to assist Sheffield's Bestobell Valves in Far East expansion
Sheffield-based Bestobell Valves, part of the President Engineering Group, has appointed a new agent in Japan, as part of an international trading strategy to develop its business the Far East.
The new agent, Novenco Nippon, based in Kobe, the sixth largest city in Japan, has over 30 years’ experience supplying a wide range of industrial equipment into the marine industry.
The company has been recommended to Bestobell for its expertise in helping international businesses to sell into Japan.
Duncan Gaskin, sales director for Bestobell LNG Valves, said: “We are delighted to announce our new agency agreement with Novenco Nippon.
“The company has a strong reputation and has excellent contacts with Japanese shipyards and owners.
“With the increase in the building of new LNG Carriers in the Far East, Novenco Nippon will help us to further increase market share for our valves in this region.”
He added: “Around 88% of our business is from export and we see the Far East as a rapidly growing market for our cryogenic valves, particularly for marine fuel applications.
“This is part of our strategy of providing a global approach, but with local partners who understand the issues and respond quickly to the needs of customers in specific countries.”
Mr Kobayashi-san, managing director of Novenco Nippon, said: “It is very exciting to be partnering with Bestobell Valves.
“We are looking forward to working with them to increase business opportunities with prospective customers across Japan and the Far East at this time of great potential within the marine sector for Bestobell’s cryogenic valves.”
Bestobell Valves is a world leader in the manufacture of LNG cryogenic valves, with over 50 years industrial gas experience and 15 years’ successfully supplying to LNG marine markets.
