North East recruiters aim to double jobs with rail contracts
North East recruitment firm TEMP-TEAM has diversified down new tracks into the rail industry, and is aiming to double its client base and number of jobs by 2014.
The expansion comes after securing a number of clients within the growing rail sector and seeing increased demand for engineering roles.
The rail industry is expanding in the UK, this means the industry workforce has also steadily expanded and professionals are needed for every aspect of the transit infrastructure.
At present, the industry is experiencing a skills shortage, which is projected to continue in coming years as the sector expands. TEMP-TEAM aims to prevent these shortages and is currently working with companies in the Rail Sector, supplying experienced and skilled staff that are currently in demand.
Working closely with companies in the rail sector, is TEMP-TEAM’s Scunthorpe branch manager, Janine Kelly.
Janine said: “Having links in the rail industry and skilled experienced staff at the ready, it was the obvious route to develop and grow.
“There are a large variety of roles out there and the ones I’m currently filling vary from, signalling engineers, lead fibre engineers, quantity surveyors, road rail operators, right through to administrators and PA staff.
“I definitely feel that the sector development is growing and with TEMP-TEAM’s partnership working alongside the rail companies, we have placed some excellent candidates, and have met Rail companies’ demands, providing them with skilled staff”.
Rachel Young, TEMP-TEAM’s operations director, said: “We have a great team of recruiters with years of experience between them. Their passion about recruitment and identifying a need within certain industries is what has led us to this growth.”
