Tickets go on sale for the North East Contact Centre awards
STARS from one of the North East’s most successful industries will be honoured at a special awards ceremony next month.
Tickets are now on sale for the prestigious North East Contact Centre awards, on 22 November, which will recognise the industry’s finest across the region at a Willy Wonka-themed ceremony, at Rainton Meadows Arena, Durham.
Staff from some of the North East’s 145 call centres have been nominated to receive awards in 10 categories at the event, which is being organised by Sunderland City Council with main sponsors NRG Resource Solutions.
“The contact centre industry is going from strength to strength and the North East is a major player,” said Cllr Paul Watson, Leader of Sunderland City Council.
“These awards, quite rightly, honour the individuals and teams which have helped put us at the forefront of this exciting industry and this year the ceremony promises to be more spectacular than ever.”
Managing director of NRG, Therese Liddle added: “In this region alone in excess of 40,000 customer service and sales staff are employed and the North East is ranked as one of the best regions to locate a contact centre.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the many successful companies in the region being honoured.”
In addition, GEM Contact Centre is sponsoring the award for Outstanding Team Leader of the Year, while Hays Recruitment is the sponsor for the Dream Team award.
“The North East Contact Centre Awards are a key event for the industry and a good way to say thank you to those involved throughout the North East,” said Hays Recruitment senior consultant Sarah Pierce.
Tickets for the North East Contact Centre awards ceremony, on 22 November, cost £70 each and are available by contacting enquiries@necontactcentreawards.com.
