Nisa announces strong half year trading figures
Scunthorpe-based Nisa, a major player in the UK convenience store sector, has announced strong half year trading figures, with sales currently up 6.1% year on year at £770m, an EBITDA of £7.3m, and volume experiencing a 10% increase on the same period last year, currently at 61 million cases.
The company attributed the strong trading performance to major factors including the strength of the Nisa symbol group and addition the of McColl’s Retail Group stores to Nisa membership, which will see the roll-out of the 320 stores joining the group completed during November.
Nisa has also experienced record volumes through its central distribution services at three separate points throughout the year as the company continues to welcome new members to the group whilst encouraging existing members to buy more through Nisa with the help of incentives on a wide range of products.
Simon Webster, Nisa finance director, commented: “We are very pleased to announce such positive half year trading results as this continues to enforce the extremely strong position that Nisa is in as it goes through a significant period of change.”
