Recruitment firm creating employment after strong debut year

A North East recruitment agency has recorded an excellent debut year of business after creating employment.

First Class Technical Recruitment, which has offices in Newcastle and Aberdeen, has exceeded first year revenue targets and created five new jobs after securing a string of high-profile contracts.

In the past 12 months, the business has entered into agreements with six national clients to support the recruitment of skilled technical and engineering personnel for industries including the chemical, oil and gas, renewables and utility sectors.

Led by specialist manufacturing employment expert, director James Gill, the company is aiming to build upon its initial success by doubling its workforce to meet the growing requirements for its service from industry.

In addition to attracting recruiters with sector-specific experience, First Class Technical Recruitment is keen to employ engineers to work with its clients, which is a practice it already successfully operates.

James said: “With the demand for skilled technical personnel increasing, companies operating across industry are relying on the support of employment specialists that have specialist sector knowledge.

“This requirement has enabled us to carve a niche in the recruitment sector as our team contains experienced engineers who understand the requirements of our clients.”

He added: “This has been the best year of my professional career.

“We’ve worked very hard and been through all of the challenges of establishing a new business, but the initial success we have achieved, along with the endorsement of the commitment of our clients to our service, is driving us forward for the future.”
