Bonmarche floats on AIM
Wakefield’s Bonmarché, one of the UK’s largest women’s retailers, has announce that admission takes place and dealings in its ordinary shares commence at 08:00am today on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange plc under the ticker “BON.”
This will raise expected proceeds of £40 million.
The business, which has 264 outlets was bought by private equity firm Sun European Partners last year.
Bonmarché was founded in 1982 by Sikh business man Parkash Singh Chima. His first store opened in Doncaster in 1985, which grew into a chain with more that 300 stores, with a turnover of more than £200 million, an collaborated with the designer of Diana Spencers wedding dress, David Emanuel.
