Clive Owen & Co LLP grow workforce over 30th year
Durham accountancy firm Clive Own & Co LLP, has grown its workforce by ten new members over the last year.
The firm also operates offices in Darlington and York, servicing a wide range of sectors including manufacturing and education.
Now celebrating its 30th year in business, the business has taken on ten new members of staff, including six trainee accountants.
The firm was started by senior partner Clive Owen in 1983 with two members of staff, in Darlington.
Three decades later, demand for other services has seen growth in many areas including: education - helping dozens of schools convert to academies; grant aid applications - helping its North East clients access more than £50 million of the Government’s Regional Growth Fund (RGF); and payroll - advising the Government on a national best practice document for issues such as Real Time Information.
Clive Owen & Co has also extended its IT services and launched Clive Owen Technology Services last year to capitalise on the demand for firms wanting greater IT support, built in with their accountancy and business advice.
Mr Owen said: “Having started 30 years ago with a smaller office in Cockerton, Darlington, I am extremely proud of where we are today. It has been enjoyable helping so many businesses and to have seen our client base grow and develop in such a variety of sectors.
“Over the years we have developed our business in line with clients’ requirements and made it a priority to keep up with advances in technology. We are now focused on the future with both our clients and our team.”
