Demand prompts Sunderland training and apprenticeships provider to grow

Sunderland-based recruitment and training providers Resources North East (RNE) are growing thanks to increased demand for business administration and IT apprentices.

The firm began as a husband and wife partnership in 1990 and this year moved to its larger Sunderland Enterprise Park premises.

Initially providing computer programming training, the RNE has developed to offer a much broader range of training packages.

According to operations director David Miller, demand for apprentices has grown in the region, prompting RNE to grow.

RNE have now created four new posts to grow the number of apprentices they will train in 2014.

Donna Rowntree is Business Administration Tutor/Assessor, she has navigated the apprentice process herself so is ideally placed to assist the next generation of apprentices.

Alan Smith joins as IT/business administration tutor/assessor and brings experience from his time in the training industry.

Kat Badminton joins the firm’s Employer Engagement Team who are responsible for placing apprentices into companies and ensuring the employers feel the full benefit of employing an apprentice.

Amanda Dixon joins the company to develop and deliver new apprenticeships based around social and digital media.

If you are interested in apprentices and want to learn more call Kat Badminton on 0191 549666.
