High-flyer boosts career as Manufacturing 'Diplomat'

Brenton Breukers, Shift Supervisor at Manchester-based M&I Materials, has become a manufacturing ‘Diplomat’.

The high-flyer was awarded The Diploma in Manufacturing at a graduation ceremony at The University of Manchester.

The Diploma in Manufacturing is quality assured by The University of Manchester and delivered by the prestigious Manufacturing Institute. It is designed to help manufacturers fast track their careers and boost productivity and profits in their companies.

Brenton was able to apply his Diploma project to put forward a plan for production improvements to prepare for anticipated sales growth of a key product line. He identified lean manufacturing techniques that could be deployed to increase capacity and productivity ready for increasing output.
