SAFC Wearside events to be showcased on a larger scale

One of Wearside’s leading events companies is planning to showcase its operation to a worldwide audience, when it takes part in the UK’s most prestigious trade exhibition for the first time.

SAFC and its subsidiary 1879 Events Management will be making their debut at the UK’s premier events exhibition, International Confex, at the Olympia London on March 12 and 13.

The annual event, which is attended by more than 7000 visitors from leading global agencies, associations and organisations, is designed to showcase the best venues and events ideas from across the UK and further afield.

SAFC and 1879 Event Management, which manages catering and events at both the Stadium of Light and National Glass Centre, will be hosting a stand at this year’s exhibition as part of a wider group put together by the NewcastleGateshead Initiative.

While there they will be introducing attendees to the wide range of conference and events facilities on offer at the Stadium of Light, which can house up to 1000 delegates and the National Glass Centre, which caters for smaller gatherings involving up to 300 guests.

They will also be showcasing the success of 1879 Event Management in catering for a range of outside events and festivals such as Newcastle Pride and presenting details for the new 150 bedroom Hilton Garden Inn hotel, which is due to open next to the Stadium of Light in 2015.
