Leeds PR agency wins contract with national car sharing firm
Leeds-based agency Lucre has won a contract with City Car Club, an independent car sharing company to handle its public relations activity in the UK.
The company, which provides members with access to hundreds of self-service vehicles across 16 different UK cities, has briefed the agency to increase membership and raise brand awareness through traditional and social PR channels.
Lucre will drive a targeted media relations programme to highlight the benefits of joining the club, which provides members with a more economical and environmentally sustainable alternative to owning, running and maintaining a vehicle.
Tamarind Wilson-Flint, director of Lucre, said: “We’re delighted that City Car Club has chosen to work with Lucre – it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to work with a business that really plays to our areas of expertise.
“The team has launched car clubs in the past and our experience working with property and travel clients such as St James, Berkeley Homes, Wyndham Vacation Rentals and Jet2.com will allow us to provide strong support.”
Head of Marketing at City Car Club, Vicky Shipway, said: “We were impressed with Lucre’s creativity and clear objectives for the campaign.
“With carbon-emissions, traffic congestion and sustainability high on the agenda, we’re really looking forward to widening our customer base and ensuring City Car Club is increasingly viewed as part of the transport mix as we continue to grow and expand our business.”
