Huddersfield building maintenance firm reaching high with £20k investment

Access North Structures, the Huddersfield structure-cleaning firm have secured guidance and funding through Holmfirth-based business support organisation Innovate Now.

Access North Structures works at great heights cleaning the windows of some of Britain’s tallest buildings or maintaining the weather-proof hubs that tower high above Butlins.

Despite launching the business at the height of the recession, the company has grown significantly, not least thanks to the support of Innovate Now.

Innovate Now helped the firm secure a grant worth £20,000 from Kirklees Council to fund asset management reporting software which keeps the company ahead of its competitors.

Access North Structures has also received support to attend seminars on the subjects of growth acceleration, management, marketing, strategy and how to handle vast growth. The company has also just recruited its first apprentice, with Innovate Now’s support.

“Mike Kilroy, a director at Innovate Now said “We mentor and support a whole range of companies across the region, and none more so diverse and exceptional than the highly skilled and dedicated team at Access North Structures.”

“By providing rope access for those hard-to-reach places - from window cleaning to stadium maintenance – Access North Structures is a truly remarkable company and we are thrilled to be a part of their continued success.

“By working with Access North Structures we have introduced the company to a number of invaluable contacts, one of which being Barnsley council.”

Daniel Northcott, founder of Access North Structures, added: “Mike has been an angel to the company. Innovate Now has helped us in so many ways and we certainly would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for their help and guidance.”
