Christmas comes early at the Stadium of Light
Early party bookers will find that Christmas has come early this year at the Stadium of Light - with a gift of an opportunity to see their favourite team in action.
Over the 2013 festive season a record 15,000 guests held their Christmas parties and events at the home of SAFC - and bookings for this year are already showing the venue is as popular as ever.
And as a thank you to those planning to enjoy one of the many party options available for 2014, the club is now giving two tickets for a home game to anyone who books for a group of 20 or more before the end of August.
As an added incentive the club is also throwing in a half bottle of wine per person for the group to enjoy on the night
Gary Hutchinson, Commercial Director at the Stadium of Light, said: “Last year the Stadium of Light welcomed a record number of visitors during the festive period and some events were fully-booked over six months in advance.
“This year we’re hoping to avoid a last minute rush and have launched the Black Cats offer as a way of encouraging people to book early and secure their first choice event.”
Options for Christmas 2014 at the Stadium of Light range from a four-course dinner, to a buffet-based celebration, party nights and an evening of live entertainment with various musical tribute acts.
Larger groups, who prefer not to share their seasonal celebrations, can also host a private gathering in one of the function rooms at the Stadium of Light or National Glass Centre, Sunderland, which are both managed by SAFC subsidiary 1879 Events Management.
The company, which was launched in 2012, can also cater for Christmas parties at other venues, including workplaces and unique locations across the North East.
