Redcar office supplies business to create up to 20 jobs

A pair of Teesside entrepreneurs are planning to create between 15-20 jobs at their new office supplies business.

James Lees and Graham Huntley met at Rye Hills School 11 years ago, and have launched JG Office Supplies from a Redcar base.

The pair now plan to grow their sales team over the next five years and grow an e-commerce branch.

James Lees, managing director, said: “Office supplies & stationery dealers seem to have been stuck in the dark ages when it has come to technology and have tended to rely on cold calling.

“Although this does work and has proved profitable over a long period of time, it does also have its flaws. My background is in digital marketing, therefore we’re perfectly placed to take our business to the next level and make finding JG Office Supplies online much easier.”

The Teesside Company will provide everything from ink cartridges to furniture as it has three divisions: JG Office Supplies, JG Office Interiors and JG janitorial supplies, meaning they also supply to pubs, clubs, restaurants, food outlets and schools.

Graham Huntley, sales director added: “We’re young and enthusiastic and feel very passionate about office supplies and supporting the North East. We only use local suppliers and employ people from the area.”
