Appointment fuels JTM growth across North West
Commercial laundry specialist JTM Service is further expanding its North West operation with the appointment of electrical engineer Simon Davies.
Simon joins a 10-strong team of engineers after facilities management company Europa awarded Leeds-based JTM a three year contract to service laundries at around 105 water treatment sites between Cumbria and Oswestry.
Based in Warrington, Simon will also help deliver a six figure service contract with Maria Mallaband Care Group, one of the UK’s leading care home providers, including residential homes in Stockport, Macclesfield and Nantwich.
Paul Carver, service manager at JTM, which employs 20 people, commented: “We have appointed Simon at a formative time for the business, with a 12 percent growth in service contracts over the last 12 months. A number of these wins have boosted our client base in the North West, including social housing, education and care home sectors. Simon’s appointment is critical to delivering the outstanding customer service for which we are renowned and respected.”
Simon, who has 25 years’ experience working for corporates including Kelloggs, Heinz and Lever Brothers, spent several years as a self-employed electrician in Australia. In his spare time Simon volunteers for St Roccos Hospice, Warrington and recently tackled a 270 mile Trans Pennine fundraising bike ride for Step ‘N’ Stick, a North West charity working with children with cerebral palsy.
Founded in Leeds in 1983 by MD John Middleton, JTM Service provides laundry facilities and services for more than 100 social housing providers, including Adactus Housing, Manchester, and 800 care homes from the Scottish Borders to the Midlands. Since 1990 JTM has been the professional partner for Miele Professional across the North of England.
