Manchester agency creates animated campaign for Knowsley Safari Park

A Manchester based creative agency has developed a brand new animated competition campaign for Knowsley Safari Park.

The campaign - developed by The if agency in conjunction with media agency Vizeum Manchester - will feature a series of 30-second competition slots on pre-school channels Nick Jr. and Nick Jr. 2 that will coincide with key campaign periods to encourage visitors to Knowsley Safari Park.

The deal also includes a dedicated web page on www.nickjr.co.uk that will capture entries and promote the wider Knowsley story.

The if agency team developed the concept based on the core brand idea of ‘Truly Wild Encounters’ encapsulating the fact that at Knowsley Safari visitors get so much closer to the action as animals are able to interact in a more natural way thanks to freedom of space.

As well as providing the storyboard and overall creative direction, if has also worked closely with Nickelodeon’s Creative Services Unit on the development and delivery of the final animation. All space was booked by Vizeum.

Jane Moore, group account director at The if agency, of Altrincham, said: “We’ve worked with Knowsley Safari for quite some time now and have a very strong vision for the brand and how it needs to be communicated. It’s been a while since the park has had a presence on TV and the Nick Jr. opportunity presented us with a way to use the medium in a more creative, engaging, fun, relevant and cost effective way”

Rachel Scott – head of marketing at Knowsley Safari Park - added: “Nick Jr. and its focus on adventure provides a great environment for us. Knowsley Safari is all about discovery. We think our audience will love the elements of surprise in the creative treatment that highlight the truly wild encounters you can experience every day at Knowsley Safari.”

The new campaign went live on Nick Jr. yesterday, 2nd April 2014.
