Network Telecom look to double Newcastle workforce
Network Telecom is looking to double the size of the workforce in their Newcastle office over the coming year, as they seek to expand the business across the North East and Scotland.
The Telford-headquartered telecoms provider currently services over 2,500 clients nationally and will increase its office space at Buddle House to 1600 sq ft to accommodate up to 25 staff.
Network Telecom’s Newcastle office was opened in 2013, seeing great success to date through the growing of its customer base in the region.
The firm also has representatives in Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Portsmouth and London, and is forecasted to turnover over £10 million this year.
Steve Day, head of business development at Network Telecom said: “We made the strategic decision to open in Newcastle in late 2013, which has allowed us to expand operations in the North East and Scotland. We have already seen an increase in our client base in these areas and it therefore makes sense to add to our workforce there.”
“The North East and Scotland are key to our business’ expansion, which will complement our nationwide growth.”
The firm’s Newcastle premises are owned by local charity ‘Reviving the Heart of the West End’. The charity seeks to encourage the regeneration of the West End of the City of Newcastle, with the creation of enterprise, education and training opportunities for the whole community - a cause that Network Telecom were very keen to support.
As a subsidiary of NT Technology Group, Network Telecom provides business telephone systems, lines and calls, broadband, domain hosting, business mobiles, and IT and data solutions.
Michael McMeekin of Arrow Sales Training has recently been working with Network Telecom to provide guidance to the growing team.
He said: “I’m thrilled to see Network Telecom expanding in the region. They’re a great example of a company that has invested in customer service and seen it pay off.
“They are certainly ones to watch, not just in the North East, but also further afield.”
