Fine food for One Direction
A North East eatery is extending its opening hours next week to cater for thousands of concert goers.
National Glass Centre Brasserie, operated by 1879 Events Management, will be staying open until 9pm on Tuesday May 27 and Wednesday May 28 to coincide with One Direction’s sell out appearance at the Stadium of Light.
The venue, which is just a short walk from the stadium, inside the recently refurbished National Glass Centre, Sunderland, will be serving its new Spring Menu on both evenings.
This includes a choice of dishes such as seasonal salads, sharing platters, hot sandwiches and cakes, along with a separate children’s menu for under 12s.
Gary Hutchinson, Commercial Director for SAFC and 1879 Events Management, said: “We’re expecting thousands of concert goers to descend on Sunderland for the opening night of the UK leg of One Direction’s Where We Are World Tour, many of whom will be travelling in from outside the area and staying over the night before.
“We wanted to give them the opportunity to enjoy an affordable, high quality home-cooked meal during their visit and to hopefully take home some great memories of the city, as well as the gig itself.”
National Glass Centre Brasserie will be open until 9pm on May 27 and 28 only, with regular opening hours (10am until 5pm) resuming thereafter. For more information or to book a table call 0191 5155555 or visit www.nationalglasscentre.com/brasserie/ You can also follow @NGC_Brasserie on Twitter.
