Leeds creative agency appointed by Haribo to increase online presence
German confectionary brand HARIBO, and sister brand MAOAM have appointed Leeds-based Brass Alt as lead digital and social agency to handle all online activity for both brands in the UK.
The appointment was made following an eight way competitive pitch and is, according to the firm, reflective of increased marketing investment within digital as a result of the strong sales growth seen by both brands.
Brass Alt will help build digital business by strengthening operations across existing platforms and beyond, continuing to grow social and digital impact for seasonal, NPD and campaign work as well as further developing the brands overarching digital strategy.
Commenting on the appointment Katy Clark, marketing manager at HARIBO said: “Brass Alt developed a strong, engaging strategy that informed some outstanding creative and, most importantly, had a real focus on ROI.
“The Brass Alt team are also a great match for us in terms of big brand experience and relevant audience insight.”
Hayley Johnson, marketing manager of MAOAM said: “We are excited to have Brass Alt on board and believe we can take the brand forward together. MAOAM currently boasts over 740,000 Facebook likes, so it’s important that we continue to engage by developing creative content that excites our fans”.
Brass Alt has built strong consumer experience in recent years with award-winning work for brands including Ribena, Lucozade, CBBC and Panadol.
Gillian Ball, head of Brass Alt said: “The best work comes from a holistic view of the consumer, how they interact with the brand and what they do online. We take this as the starting point for our planning and creative process, which we believe has enabled us to develop some great campaigns.
“We are hugely excited to start working with both HARIBO and MAOAM and to helping the brands realise their digital ambitions.”
