Redstones invests in new Wolverhampton office as housing market picks up

A growing local estate agents is set to invest more than £50,000 into opening its first shop front offices in Wolverhampton to help it meet increased demand for its services. Redstones, which offers residential sales, lettings, property management and its new ‘Intelligent’ property auction, is taking a 450 sq ft premises on Clark Road and is aiming to become one of the first paperless offices in its sector. This latest move is part of the company’s ambitious approach to transforming the way the industry operates, with a focus on transparency, trust and compliance combined with modern day marketing methods to help both landlords and buyers find the right property solutions. The new offices were officially opened by MP Paul Uppal and also marked the start of a new charity partnership with the British Heart Foundation. “When we set up this business in 2012, we made a promise to ourselves to do things differently and improve the service the customer receives from the minute they walk through the door to the days, weeks, months after a deal has been completed,” commented Updesh Gidda, Managing Director. “This has involved combining the latest technology with sector expertise and understanding of individual requirements…leading to Redstones managing over 350 properties throughout the West Midlands.” He continued: “Our customers were telling us they still liked the face-to-face contact, especially when selling or buying a home. So we have listened and invested £50,000 plus into these offices in Clark Road. “We have installed industry-leading accounting and marketing software, new modern LED panels to display properties in the window and a large interlinked Smart TV that will allow clients to digitally sign contracts. There is no more old school paper signing, the digital age is upon us.” Redstones, which is a member of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents), TPO (The Property Ombudsman) and Safeagent, covers Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire. This is a geographic area of more than 100,000 properties, spanning from Willenhall and the City Centre to semi-rural Brewood, Codsall and Perton. The investment in new offices will build on the green shoots of recovery being seen across the housing sector, with low interest rates and ‘help to buy’ triggering movement in the local market. “There is definitely a sense of things taking off now and we’ve seen a 30% increase in the number of clients looking to take advantage of our expertise,” added Updesh. “We offer the complete service, from selling apartments and homes to managing single buy-to-lets or multiple properties, creating strong relationships with house builders and asset management companies in the process. “Landlords like us as they get digital reports of activity, detailed schedules of property conditions and monthly statements. Tenants and buyers use us because they can see a company who works hard for them, understands their needs and will go that extra mile to make their dreams happen…we’ve even got a dedicated maintenance division to ensure any repairs are completed quickly.” Redstones Wolverhampton is expecting the office opening to be the start of a busy 2014, which will also see the recruitment of its first apprentice and membership of the National Association of Estate Agents in September.
