Leeds company uniquely honoured in top international awards.

Digital Plus Ltd, based in Leeds, has scooped an international FESPA award, from this most influential global screen, digital and textile print federation. FESPA represents 37 national associations, founded in 1962, with its Awards held in Munich, and renowned across the industry for the quality of their outstanding recipients. First time entrants, Digital Plus, has been awarded the Bronze in the Interior Decoration category for its stunning 4 x 10 metre display created for The Royal Berkshire NHS Trust’s campaign for organ donation.

With only five winners from the UK, and the Company being the only one from the North, the trophy is a proud addition to the already burgeoning awards cabinet.

The display itself was designed by fellow Yorkshire Company “Woodgate Studios” based in Pool in Wharfedale, who were commission by the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust. Woodgate runs a section within its agency called Hospital Art Studio, especially dedicated to Hospital Art.

The display took over two weeks to create once Digital Plus had the artwork and a further three days to install as it was so large and the positioning of the “stand off” butterflies needed real precision. It was created using different media consisting of vinyl wall coverings, acrylic and Dibond. The display itself has appeared on BBC TV Look South as part of the donor campaign.

Digital Plus, was presented with Bronze for its inspiring piece in the brand new category of Interior Decoration, judged by Felipe Araujo and Daniel Perez of Egue and Seta Interior Design agency, Barcelona, together with Barry Forester, Managing Director of UK’s Standfast & Barracks, fabric printers. Barry Forester described the work as “a ‘grand’ project in every sense”.

Chris Stringwell, Managing Director of Digital Plus Ltd. says: “This international award is particularly satisfying for us because it has been given by our peers from our own sector, worldwide. And as is it the first time we have entered, next time we will aim for gold.”

Established 15 years ago, Digital Plus specialises in total project management of complex and supersized displays and exhibitions, from initial ideas through to full scale installation. It is also well known for its fast response solutions and quality service.
