Cramlington cloud consultancy expand workforce following contract wins

North East cloud consultancy has increased its workforce by five after winning several major contracts.

Cramlington-based SITS Group specialises in all areas of cloud computing, from virtual desktop and server consolidation to cloud management and disaster recovery solutions for clients including port authorities, legal practices, car manufacturers and public sector organisations.

New contracts with a number of firms including Cumbria-based James Fisher and Sons plc - which services the marine, Defence, Nuclear and oil and gas industries - has led to growth.

Among the new starters is Ian Pridmore, 32, from Seaham, who brings more than 12 years’ experience of sales and project management to his new role as workflow co-ordinator.

He said: “It’s my responsibility to ensure that our technical consultants have the resources they need and to oversee the smooth running of operations on a day to day basis.

“It’s great working for such a vibrant company and I love the variety of my role.”

Phil Cambers commercial director of SITS Group said: “We have already enjoyed a period of unprecedented growth.

“Many businesses fail to plan for growth on the back of major contract wins, but at SITS Group we have always geared appropriately so as to not detriment our existing valued base of clients.

“This latest win means that we are well and truly consolidated as the leading IT Infrastructure provider in the North of England and the number one choice for customers who value quality and professionalism in their IT Partner.

“We are hugely fortunate in the North East to have a highly trained and specialised workforce and we are delighted with our new starters, all of whom have hit the ground running and are proving to be an excellent fit for the company.”
