Musical rewards on offer for region’s top staff

Businesses across the North East are being given the chance to reward hardworking staff with an afternoon of live music from some of the UK’s biggest stars.

Sound Waves 2014, featuring Texas, All Saints and Gabrielle, is being held at Bents Park, South Shields on Saturday August 23.

Now event organiser, South Tyneside Council, is appealing for managers from across the region to nominate individual employees or small teams, who they feel deserve a special, music-filled treat.

The best entries will be rewarded with tickets to Sound Waves 2014, which will also feature an appearance by South Tyneside soul singer Lulu James.

Councillor Alan Kerr, Deputy Leader for South Tyneside Council, said: “There are many hardworking people in the North East and we wish to reward them. We cannot do this without the help of the region’s managers and employers and we are asking them to get in touch.”

Anyone who would like to nominate an employee or small team to receive free Sound Waves tickets is being asked to email Claire@sortedpr.com before July 25 2014, clearly stating who they are nominating and why.

The best entries chosen after the closing date will each receive up to six tickets to the open-air, bank holiday gig, as well as the pleasure of knowing their hardwork has not gone unnoticed.
