alice chilton aims to set precedent for North West’s in-home care service

A new independent in-home care service has launched in Stockport, promising to raise the standards of domiciliary care for adults, the elderly and carers across the region.

Founded by local businesswoman Karen Perry, alice chilton will offer exceptional in-home support including respite and dementia care to both private and local authority funded clients.

Initially covering Stockport with plans to branch out to Wilmslow and east Cheshire in September, alice chilton will provide a flexible service offering companionship, home help and personal care to those who wish to live independently in their own home.

In a move to attract and retain carers of the highest calibre, alice chilton will offer an above-industry-standard rate of pay, and promises a rewarding working environment for dedicated staff.

Candidates will be screened thoroughly to ensure they have the consistency of skills, qualifications and values to deliver the safe, effective and high quality care synonymous with the alice chilton trust mark.

To demonstrate the very best in industry principles and practices the ‘alice chilton Charter’ has been developed, encompassing a set of ten values unique to the business. All carers will be required to commit to the charter.

The care team will be led by Mark and Michele Bushell, who have over a decade of combined experience within the sector. Care Coordinator Mark currently holds the regional and national titles for Best Care Coordinator, awarded at the Great British Care Awards 2014.

Registered Care Manager Michele is a qualified trainer, rolling out Alzheimer’s programmes for carers enabling them to work with clients with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Simon Perry will oversee financial responsibility as Operations & Finance Director, with over 12 years experience working in the banking sector.

Karen, formerly managing director of global marketing and events company WRG, founded alice chilton, based on her own personal experiences of in-home care, firstly with her grandmother and then as a charity volunteer.

Understanding the importance of trust, Karen identified the frustrations and concerns people experience at such a sensitive and emotional time.

Karen said: “alice chilton is dedicated to providing a level of care that is both respectful and compassionate, with relevant support that fits around client’s lives.

“Whether it is help with shopping, a trip to the cinema, or more personal home care support, we help people to maintain an independent lifestyle with dignity.

“We are also busy working towards the launch of the alice chilton charitable trust which will financially benefit local charities; giving back to the community will always be at the heart of what we do.”

Appointments are available with Registered Care Manager Michele Bushell, who will provide a no obligation consultation and bespoke care packages.
