Charity summer fete provides fun for all the family
A charity summer fete at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust - organised by trainee lawyers from the Sheffield office of hlw Keeble Hawson to raise funds for the annual Master Cutlers Challenge - has been hailed a great success.
The Master Cutlers Challenge sees participants being given £100, from which they have to raise as much money as possible, over a six month period, for the premature and sick babies at Sheffield Hospitals Charity, and for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, an educational and environmental charity.
A committed supporter of the challenge over several years, hlw Keeble Hawson, one of the region’s biggest law practices with offices in Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster, is aiming to break its previous fundraising record of £3,500 as the team devises new ideas to boost funds for these worthwhile causes.
hlw Keeble Hawson managing partner, Paul Trudgill, said: “Well done to our trainees for ensuring the fete was a great success and for challenging themselves to raise as much money as possible.
The fete provided a wealth of activities including donkey rides, bouncy castles, go karting, and the face painting in particular was very popular. A big ‘thank you’ also to Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park among others for providing fantastic tombola prizes.“
The Master Cutlers Challenge is one of the region’s largest fundraising events and the team will continue their fundraising drive until the end of August. To support their campaign contact Clare Darwood on 0114 290 6266.
