Leeds’ Blacks Solicitors expand Merrion Centre offices to cope with expansion
Leeds based Black Solicitors LLP is expanding with extra office space within Wade House, Merrion Centre, after celebrating 25 years in business.
The expansion comes off the back of significant new wins for Blacks following a 21% increase in turnover and 7% increase in profit during 2013/2014.
In the past 12 months, over 35 new people have joined the law firm; the team is currently 144 strong.
The firm already occupies a 9408 sq foot office in Wade House spanning two floors and Town Centre Securities plc has just agreed an expansion plan meaning the firm will occupy another 1000 sq foot.
The nine strong employment team, led by partner, Richard Parr, will be moving into the new premises from Hanover House at the end of the month.
Chris Allen, managing partner at Blacks Solicitors LLP states; “We currently house one of the largest employment teams in Leeds, so it’s essential that we can cater for our strong portfolio of Yorkshire clients.
“The relocation to Wade House in the Merrion Centre will enable our staff to maintain a high-level of service across all departments.”
Edward Ziff, chairman and chief executive of Town Centre Securities PLC comments; “We have a strong, long standing relationship with Blacks Solicitors LLP, which stretches back over 15 years.
“We regard it as a great compliment that Blacks has chosen to expand within Wade House at the Merrion Centre and we are proud to have the flexibility to meet Black’s accommodation needs.
“Wade House offers really convenient accommodation with all the facilities of the Merrion Centre and Arena Quarter on the doorstep. We also supply ample parking in our multi storey car park which is currently subject to a comprehensive refurbishment
