Chamber International, Any Whitehead

Chamber International, has expanded its team again with the sixth new appointment since March in response to growing demand for export support.

Amy Whitehead has joined Enterprise Europe Network Yorkshire, which has been integrated into Chamber International, Bradford, as a project coordinator.

Her appointment follows that of a new Enterprise Europe Network business adviser, a senior export associate, a new import-export services manager and two new trade administrators.

Chamber International assists chambers of commerce with a wide range of specialist international trade services and is also supporting Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) by delivering its We Are International export campaign, which aims to being an extra £1.6 billion to ten local authority areas and create thousands of new jobs in the next five years.

Reward, Tim Stafford

Business lender Reward has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of experienced financier Tim Stafford as operations and risk director for both its Commercial Finance and Capital businesses.

Tom Flannery, who leads the Reward business together with partner Dave Jones, said: “Tim’s appointment is significant to our ambitious growth strategy and, as another underwriter, re-enforces our message of being able to provide a quick, viable, secured funding alternative for SMEs.

“Tim is hugely well respected throughout the asset based lending industry and brings a wealth of experience to the team having spent 28 years in banking and invoice finance. He has worked with both Dave and myself in previous roles so we know only too well what a strong acquisition this is for us.”

Mr Stafford added: “I’m really pleased to be working again with Tom and Dave, joining their already highly successful team and looking forward to supporting the business in its growth ambitions. Reward has a unique offering and it’s great to be working in such a fast paced and thriving environment where clients are able to deal directly with us, the decision makers.”

RBS and NatWest, David Salisbury

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and NatWest have appointed David Salisbury as Head of Real Estate Yorkshire and the North East.

In his new role he will lead and develop relationships with clients, embed business development plans across the patch and enable his 11-strong team to maximise time with clients throughout the market.

David has 32 years of corporate banking experience including 15 years of specialist work in real estate lending across the North of England.

Prior to his appointment he was the Senior Director Corporate Real Estate Leeds at RBS.

Beacon, Huma Khan and Wilson Bryson

Beacon, which helps businesses in the hospitality, leisure and healthcare sectors grow their profitability, has announced the appointment of two new account managers as part of an ongoing investment programme into its staff and resource within the business.

Huma Khan joins the team as a national account manager, bringing extensive experience and knowledge of account management. Her previous roles include working for a variety of blue chip FMCG companies, including Rank Hovis, Britain’s biggest flour millers, where she handled key accounts.

Joining the team as a regional account manager is Wilson Bryson. He joins Beacon having previously worked as a key account manager for Mackie’s of Scotland, and with 12 years experience at Unilever

Paul Connelly, operations director at Beacon commented: “Huma and Wilson will both be a great additions to our account management team, as they each bring a huge wealth of knowledge and experience, which will contribute to the future success of our company.

“Huma’s experience with pricing and forecasting will be hugely beneficial, as will Wilson’s extensive experience with grocery wholesalers, in order to ensure we are providing the best possible service for our customers.”

Local Care Force, Helen Goldsmith

Yorkshire based Nursing, Social and Homecare agency Local Care Force, has bolstered its team with the appointment of Helen Goldsmith as Lead Clinical Nurse to support its nurses.

Director of Local Care Force Leanne Silverwood said; “Bringing Helen on board as a full time member of the team is a very exciting step for the agency.

“Clinical Lead is a role often only for permanent nurses but we feel that agency nurses deserve and should be provided with the same level of protection which is why the role is such an important one for the business.

“Helen has been working with us on a part time basis for a few months already, but her work has become invaluable, which has led to us making the role a full time and permanent one. Already, we have seen an uplift in the number of nurses on our books thanks to the support that she has already provided and so we are excited by the positive change this will continue to bring.

Established in 2004, LCF has offices in Leeds and Sheffield.

Vantage Motor Group, Ian Johnstone

Vantage Motor Group has appointed a business centre and business development manager to drive sales in its Toyota dealerships across North Yorkshire.

Ian Johnstone, from Haxby, York, will be responsible for delivering fleet area sales objectives across the three Vantage Toyota dealerships in Knaresborough, Scarborough and York.

Ian said: “I’m looking forward to taking on this brand new role and growing the position. It’s a really exciting time to be working for Vantage as they seek to further enhance their presence in Yorkshire.

“I was particularly attracted to the role because of Vantage’s customer service ethos, professionalism and its reputation for providing pragmatic advice.”

Mark Robinson, chief executive of the Vantage Motor Group, said: “We are pleased to welcome Ian to the team and look forward to seeing him further develop our business customer base across North Yorkshire, whilst also upholding our impeccable customer service standards.”

Over the past year Vantage Motor Group’s turnover has grown from £65 million to more than £200 million and the group has increased its number of sites from seven in Yorkshire and Lancashire to 18 across the north of England and the West Midlands.
