Leading law firm to host interactive roundtable discussions
North West based commercial law firm Aaron and Partners LLP is hosting a series of roundtable breakfast discussions in September on the myths associated with co-habitation.
Hosted on 16 September in Deganwy, 23 September In Shrewsbury and 30 September in Manchester, Richard Barge, Partner and Head of Family Law, will explain the many misconceptions that exist in relation to the law for cohabitees.
Advisors dealing with clients’ personal matters will benefit from Richard’s experience and knowledge as he explains practical, sensible steps that advisors should give to couples at the outset of their cohabitation or when the relationship ends.
Richard said, “Unmarried couples are the fastest growing type of relationship, but so far the law has failed to keep pace with this significant change in our society. Cohabitees have very few rights in the unfortunate event of a relationship breakdown.
“The aim of our roundtable is to create a forum for discussion between advisors, during which questions can be asked and scenarios explored, which will promote further discussion and may take the subject in a new direction.”
The roundtable is a free event with a limited number of places, so those wishing to take part should contact Jude Kenyon on 01244 405418 or jude.kenyon@aaronandpartners.com to reserve their place.
The Deganwy event is being held at The Quay Hotel & Spa, Deganwy Quay, Conwy and starts at 8.00am with breakfast and tea and coffee served. The discussion starts at 8.30am and finishes at 10.00am. It is free to attend.
The Shrewsbury event is being held at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Greenhous Meadow and the Manchester event is being held at Pall Mall Court, King Street. Both events follow the same schedule as the Deganwy event, and are also free to attend.
