Moyes debacle may have cost Manchester United £50 million
Manchester United are set to release figures tomorrow detailing how much former manager David Moyes’ dismissal cost the club earlier this year.
Moyes, who earned a salary of £3.5 million at the club, was dismissed from his role in April, after being in the role just 11 months.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the losses could amount to as much as £50 million.
Manchester United’s failure to reach the Champions League for the first time in their history left £35 million hole on the balance sheet, resulting in a further £8.5 million lost.
The club spent over £150 million in the transfer market on several high profile new recruits.
