Food safety management company expand to Hexham
South East-based food safety management company, Food Safety Assist, have expanded to the North East, following the development of new offices at the Northumberland National Park Enterprise Hub in Hexham.
Established in 2000 and gaining success in the South East and London, Food Safety Assist help small and medium food producers and manufacturers to develop their Food Safety and Health & Safety management processes.
Moreover, they have a team of qualified consultants who are able to help small businesses to expand and sell to bigger organisations.
By gaining their food safety accreditations with the help of Food Safety Assist, small North East companies can support growth and increase profit, helping to create jobs across the region.
The company themselves have already created a position within their North East office, for which they have hired a graduate from the local area.
They now aim to help northern manufacturers produce safe and hygienic products, to avoid crises such as product recall, loss of profits and business failure and support the creation of a more prosperous north east.
Environment Minister Lord de Mauley recently attended the opening of several new offices emphasising the importance of this new development in the region.
The launch was also attended by members of the National Park Authority, Northumberland College and Northumberland Business Services.
Managing director of Food Safety Assist, Brian Humphreys, said: “We are pleased to be launching our services in the north for local manufacturers and producers.
“We are here to help other businesses in the north to grow and reach their full potential.
“Supporting our local economy has never been more important.”
